In the 21″ century India, there are people who are still grappling with basic issues of health & hygiene. Every year thousands of people suffer from eye related problems which may result in bigger complications, including complete loss of vision. Confronting with this reality the Rotary club of navsari founded Smt. Lilavatiben Mohanlal Shah (Blimorawala) eye hospital, (Popularly known as the Rotary Eye Institute) in 1977, a nonprofit eye hospital to provide world class eye care services. Rotary Eye Institute is considered one of the best eye care hospitals in India. It has state of the art infrastructure housed in a 4 storied building with over 75,000 sq. ft. of built up area. It is an 85 bed eye hospital with 8 fully equipped operation theatres.
